A taste of life's pleasures through the liberating power of Chocolat. Life in Lansquenet, a small French village has not changed for the last 100 years. The people have kept their tradition and strict morals even if it meant depriving themselves of the progress of modern times. But all these change upon the arrival of Vianne and her daughter Anouk. Through Vianne's magical chocolate concoctions, she is able to arouse the villager's private desires. This alarms the righteous people in the village while it is welcome by the liberated in the remote town. Soon, Vianne also finds herself liberating her long kept desires...
