Summary: This study used content analysis on the text of The Holy Eucharist Rite I and Rite II of the 1979 Book of Common Prayer of the Episcopal Church and The Holy Eucharist in the 2015 Book of Common Prayer of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines. The reason of the researcher in using content analysis since this determines the presence of certain words, themes or concepts within some given qualitative data, that is the text. Besides that, it includes conducting content analysis on a publication of a book. More specifically, she analyzed what were added, borrowed, modified or omitted in: The Asperges, The Penitential Order, Concerning the Celebration of the Holy Eucharist, and The Holy Eucharist of 1979 Book of Common Prayer vis-a-vis the 2015 Book of Common Prayer of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines. The researcher noted that the 1979 Book of Common Prayer of the Episcopal Church does not have The Asperges. Since The Asperges follows, the rite of baptism in the 2015 Book of Common Prayer. It shows its close relationship to the sacrament. The Asperges also reminds the responsibilities of the Christian Community to their Baptismal Covenant and the Prayers for the candidates when they were baptized.
