"From inception, the Episcopal mission in the Philippines was focused on taking care of the needs of English-speaking people in the country and evangelization of the marginalized people like the Igorots, Teduray, and Chinese. This somehow continued to be the general trend until today. In the Episcopal Diocese of Central Philippines, for example, many congregations are organized out of Igorot diaspora. The church followed its members to where they were relocated. In other words, these congregations were founded out of cradle-Episcopalians. Only few congregations are organized out of predominantly non-cradle Episcopalians. One particular congregation that was established out of mostly non-cradle Episcopalians is the Langkiwa mission in Laguna, preaching station of Holy Family Church, Brent School International. Being one of the few exceptions to general trend, the experience of this congregation is worth examining for the purpose of drawing lessons."-- 1st paragraph Background of the study
