Thesis (M.Div.)-- Saint Andrew's Theological Seminary
"The lay play a vital role in the life of any church much more in the Iglesia Filipina Independiente (IFI), which was founded with the help of lay people like Isabelo delos Reyes, Sr. However, the lay sometimes find hard to adjust to new development in the church like the ordination of women. Thus it is not surprising to observe that many of those who have been actively engaging in the ministry of the IFI and know the difficulties of the said church are among those who are hesitant in accomodating women clergy."-- Statement of the problem.
